Finding peace today

I can say one thing for certain, the idea that we can find peace is a challenging one, there seems to be an endless amount of worries in our lives today, threats from abroad to things here at home like raising gas prices to the cost of rent, to that one or two family member we constantly have on our minds. These things have bombarded us for years, there are many many things that can be added to this list, it isn’t very extensive of exhaustive, but here’s the thing when it comes to the worrisome things of the world.

“Nobody can bring you peace but yourself”-Ralph Waldo Emerson

When I say “finding peace today” I don’t have the answer because my peace is different from yours, what my POV (point of view) looks like is different, and sometimes we get under the notion that different is bad, when it comes to having the peace today, for me it comes down to is the tripod, Sleep-Dietary-Physical.

-Sleep: when it comes to sleep there is a drive that is there and I have just learned about circadian rhythm, which is when we are going to sleep and for how long we sleep, and planning for the Biphasic or multiphasic nights, those are nights when you wake up, and when or if you nap during the day.

-Dietary: it’s so easy to grab that frozen pizza, or have that take out, and trust me there isn’t judge in these words as I have done those things many many times, but when it comes to finding that peace, it helps to look at all aspects of your life, and how it impacts your life.

-Physical: how physical are we? do we need more outdoor time like walks, going for a short run, can we start walking to work? or biking? whatever the case may be, we should all be spending at least 15-20 minutes outside, that is something I am trying to do more is getting more physical and it’s a tough one, but really beneficial

In conclusion, these are jus tips, something to help you move forward, and sometimes they are helpful and sometimes they are not helpful, either way I think that it is good to have information out there, and one other note, if you do plan on tackling 1 or 2 or all 3 legs of the tripod remember that’s something that is almost impossible, I would suggest doing physical first and the other 2 should fall into place, but physical is a tough cookie.

I really hope that you have a wonderful day and remember to love yourself because that is always a good thing to do in times like now.
